Political Unrest in Kenya Affecting Safari Travel and Valentine's Day

Fewer visitors are traveling Kenya since the polls closed on 27 December, 2007 sparking waves of protests some of which turned violent. Tourism is a major economic engine for this country of nearly 37 million people and a major decline in tourism could result in hotel closures and layoffs increasing the likelihood of a recession.
