Environmental Audits: a opportunity to innovate and become more competitive

Reading Scott's Parisi post on Hospitality Trends where he ponts out that "Free Environmental Audits Uncover Major Funding Opportunities for U.S" I'm convinced that in many places things are going the same way.

Parisi explains that "it's a rare hotelier who has not at least considered implementing a sustainability initiative at his or her property. But many never get beyond the wishful thinking stage, because the process can seem so daunting - and expensive", and it seems something general all opver tourism destinations. Especially now that hoteliers are especially concerned in getting customers after the many cancellations of tthis summer.

In many fora experts are repeating that innvation is the solution in front of the critical situation, but, as I have alreasy writtem tourism deals with very short term urgencies and occupation rates is the main priority.

Environmental audits can give many opportunities to make business expenses more rational and, in many cases it helps to reduce costs of production, though these effects are visible on mid term.

ISurprisingly Parisi remarks in his article that hotelierns are not even taking advantages of free environmental audits and are kindly loosing funding opportunities, as it happens in the US.

We shall learn more on how pushing business people to become more practiv in making their torism companies more green.
